On this lovely Sunday, we ventured West to Elk River. Given the Vikings’ noon game, we opted for a shorter trip. Though they didn’t secure a win, it was an exhilarating game to witness. Go Vikes!! Our first stop was at the Old Main Eatery, housed in one of the town’s original buildings. The ambiance was delightful, and the waitstaff provided exceptional service. We were greeted warmly and served promptly. The food arrived quickly and was absolutely delectable. I highly recommend visiting next time you’re in the area. The next stop was at the Blue Egg Bakery. As we stepped inside, the tantalizing aroma of freshly baked goods enveloped us, igniting an instant craving. Our eyes were drawn to a delightful array of donuts and other baked treats. Kari opted for the glazed donut holes and a cream bismark, while I indulged in the glazed bear claw and a blueberry bismark. Each treat was absolutely delightful. What’s even better is that they are open on Sunday mornings. Undoubtedly one of the top spots to visit! Location: 713 Main St NW, Elk River, MN 55330
I’d love to share my amazing Caffeinated experience at the Edge Bar & Boutique. It’s truly one of the most comfortable coffee shops I’ve ever been to. Whether you choose to sit on the lovely patio, relax at one of the assorted tables and chairs inside, or interact with the warm and welcoming staff, you’ll feel right at home. Kari tried the Polar Elk Pride, and it was fantastic. As for the Edge Apple Cider, it was hands down one of the best ciders I’ve ever tasted – the perfect fall drink, especially sitting by the river. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to try the Lumber Jack Mocha and the Elk Pride – both drinks sound absolutely amazing. In my opinion, this shop easily makes it into my top ten. I’d rate it 4.5 cups out of 5! Location: 609 Main St NW, Elk River, MN 55330
It was truly delightful to have the opportunity to relax by the river on a picturesque autumn day, savoring a delightful glass of cider in the company of my beloved wife.
